TREND ALERT! | Negative Space |

Sometimes it’s the simplest things that make the greatest impact.

One of this year’s biggest runway trends was negative space nail art, which are manicures where your un-coloured nail ‘peeps’ through bold lacquers like cut-outs in clothes. We love this nail art as it can look understated yet individual.

The celebs have taken to this trend over the last few months and we love the fact it can be changed suit anyone’s style.

It can be detailed like Lily Allen with her coloured stripes with an outlined edge or simple and bright like Chloe Lukasiak who is also bang on trend with bold retro colours – a great look for spring.

Negative space nail art can also look understated and minimalistic as worn by Jess Glynne and Ariel Winter

Kylie Jenner has been a fan of negative space for a long time now

Here at the Nail Boutique we have created our own Negative nail art favourites to show what we think would make great looks to compliment your wardrobe over the coming months. You can bling any of these looks up with glitter polish or vamp them up with darker colours or be bold and use some of the fab new colours from CND’s new wave collection. You can even just apply some to only your ring finger if you would like to ease into the world of nail art slowly.

This look in our opinion is sophisticated and just gives a little’ nod and wink’ to creating a touch of individuality to your look this season.
